Joseph
Gaston is the Church Administrator. In this role, he manages
the daily business aspects of the church and facilities. He has
served in this capacity formally since 1998. Joe brings to this
role a versatility that allows him to meet the challenges and
needs that come along with a growing ministry like Albany Baptist.
He works to keep a fresh perspective of the ministry and has
learned to let go of “the past” he has with the church
in order to be effective.
He’s been at the church since 1959 and considers himself “privileged” to
work in the church where he grew up. He added, “it means
much more to me that I’m ministering where God wants me
to be.”
In addition, Joe serves in the Celebration Ministry as a vocalist,
and plays the piano and organ as well. He also supervises the
kitchen staff for church dining events and special occasions.
He graduated from Alexander High School in 1977 and completed
work toward his bachelor’s degree at Hocking College. Joe
and his wife Pam have three children: Aaron, Jessica, and Gabriel
(Isaac).
FUN FACT: Joe and Pam will celebrate 25 years of marriage in
August.
