At Albany Baptist, we believe that worship is the area from which all areas of ministry flow. During worship you find yourself in the presence of the Creator, and from His presence flows everything that we need. There are many ways to worship. Either through music or drama or the spoken word or even sitting in silence, one can discover the riches of being with God. Worship is to be celebrative; as well as, contemplative. It is for the old and young alike.

The purpose of the Albany Baptist Church Worship Ministry is to lead God’s people in worship through psalms, hymns, spiritual songs and drama. When you attend one of our services, you will see that we put a lot on emphasis on our song service. But we also hope you come away realizing that worship is more than a song. Worship encompasses every attitude of the heart and every action of our lives (Matthew 22:37). Therefore, we strive to create an environment where people can come and corporately worship together.

The Celebration Ministry combines the talent of singers, musicians, and technical staff to lead the congregation in worship on Sundays as well as special events. The Praise and Worship component of the ministry includes the Celebration Band, Celebration Choir, The Preschool Choir, The Kingdom Kids Choir, and the worship team leaders. The technical staff includes audio, video, graphics, web team, and drama.
