PRAISE AND WORSHIP
It is
a blessed opportunity for any of us to be used as worship leaders.
God will do what He wants to do, with or without any of
us. God does not need to use any of us, but He wants to use all
of us. What an awesome opportunity for us to die to self so that
God can glorify Himself through us, to draw others to Him. At Albany
Baptist, this component of our Celebration Ministry has six parts:
The Celebration Choir—The
choir, under the direction of the Worship Pastor, ministers
primarily during our Sunday morning
worship service. The choir also sings for our Christmas and Easter
services as well as other special events. Rehearsal is held on
Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sight reading is not
a prerequisite. Just bring a heart of worship. Childcare is provided.

The Praise Band—The
band plays for our Sunday morning worship service. It currently
consists of a rhythm section with
drums, bass, keyboard and horns. As other musicians join the
ministry, additional keyboards, guitars, percussion instruments,
wind and
brass instruments will be added. Rehearsal is held on Thursday
evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, contact

The Praise Singers—These
teams are made up of men and women who, under the direction
of the Worship Pastor, minister
primarily during our Sunday morning worship service. Three person
teams are formed from active choir members, who learn music quickly,
can blend well, and are flexible. They also sing together at
various special events and programs. Rehearsal is held on Wednesday
evening
from 8:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, contact Pastor

Kingdom
Kids—This choir
is for our children in kindergarten through the sixth grade.
Rehearsals are held during a portion of
the Sunday School time. For more information, contact Pastor

The Preschool Choir—This
choir is for our children ages 3 to 5. Rehearsals are held
during a portion of the Sunday

Drama Ministry—This ministry
is being developed at Albany Baptist to portray the truth of
God’s Word through
acting. Those serving in this ministry will use their gifts during
Sunday morning skits, as well as special programs and productions.
