The Congregational Care Ministry is vital to the overall success of the ministry
of Albany Baptist Church. The Congregational Care Ministry provides both a ministry
opportunity for lay couples to assist our Deacons and our Pastor of Congregational
Care, and it sees to the needs of the people of Albany Baptist Church.
Each Congregational Care Ministry Couple has been assigned
approximately fifteen families, using the same age groups
assigned to each of our Adult Sunday School
classes.
Our Congregational Care
Couples pray for families in their group on a regular basis.
They greet them at Sunday School
and other services. They contact
those who are absent. They also coordinate various types of assistance,
i.e. they answer
questions that may arise, they may arrange transportation needs, and
often they organize meals, which are helpful for families
after the birth of a
baby, a sickness,
a death or other tragedy. At ABC, caring people are just a phone call
away. Members need only contact their Congregational Care
Couple.
